Bringing Healthcare straight to the Doorstep

In many rural communities outside Tamale, the nearest clinic is miles away. For an elder dealing with mobility issues or chronic conditions like hypertension, regular checkups are nearly impossible. This lack of access can turn minor, manageable health problems into severe crises.

To solve this, ALF’s **Mobile Health Screening** and **Home Care Visit** programs bring medical checkups and companionship directly to their homes.

What a Home Visit Accomplishes

Each visit by our volunteer team provides critical health and social benefits:

• Vital Signs Monitoring: Checking blood pressure, blood sugar, and general wellness indicators.
• Basic Needs Assessment: Checking if they have clean water, healthy food, and basic personal hygiene supplies.
• Companionship: Social isolation is a silent killer. Spending time sharing stories, laughter, and prayer restores joy and hope.

Our home care teams also distribute medical support aids, hygiene items, and nutritional supplements. Our goal is to ensure that no older person in Northern Ghana feels forgotten, abandoned, or forced to age in silence.
