𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 2026 𝐒𝐁𝐂 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭

Anaalie Legacy Foundation (ALF) was proud to be represented at the 2026 Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Evidence Summit in Accra a key national gathering organized by the Health Promotion Division of the Ghana Health Service.

Our Founder, Amanda Anipu, had the honour of presenting a poster titled "Breaking Silence Around Dementia: Community-Based Awareness and Caregiver Support Approaches for Elderly Wellbeing in Ghana." It was a meaningful opportunity to bring dementia and the voices of family caregivers into an important national conversation on strengthening Ghana's health system.

The summit theme, "Strengthening Free Primary Health Care in Ghana Through Evidence-Based Social and Behaviour Change for Sustainable Health and Wellbeing," strongly resonates with ALF's mission. It reinforced our belief that dementia and healthy ageing must be intentionally integrated into primary health care, community health promotion, and national policy discussions.

We are especially grateful to Dr Priscilla Madzinga-Kusena, Social and Behaviour Change Team Lead at Africa CDC, and Modou Njai, Senior Technical Officer and Primary Health Care Focal Point for the Africa CDC Western Africa Regional Coordinating Centre, for taking the time to specially engage with our work and for their encouragement.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Health Promotion Division of the Ghana Health Service and all partners who made this summit possible. Thank you for creating a platform where evidence, innovation, and community voices come together to shape healthier futures.
