Laar Yaw Naanang
Board Member
Laar Yaw Naanang is an experienced education professional with over 23 years in the Ghana Education Service, currently serving as a Deputy Director. He has taught across primary, junior high, and senior high school levels, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence and student development. Laar is also a respected advocate for teacher welfare, having served as the Northern Regional Chairman of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT-GH). In addition to his education leadership, he brings valuable experience in public health research, contributing to community-based health initiatives in Northern Ghana. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University for Development Studies and a BA in Social Work from the University of Ghana. His passion for community wellbeing and vulnerable populations aligns strongly with ALF’s mission to promote dignified ageing and support persons living with dementia.
