Mariam Tiyumba Hamza is a final-year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science student with a strong passion for healthcare, community service, and improving the wellbeing of vulnerable populations. Her academic journey has reinforced her belief that quality healthcare extends beyond clinical settings and is rooted in compassion, dignity, and human connection.

Mariam currently serves as Vice President of Enactus UDS and has previously held leadership roles as Welfare Committee Chair of MELSSA and Events Planner for Enactus UDS. Through these experiences, she has developed strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, alongside a deep commitment to service.

As a Dementia Care Ambassador with Anaalie Legacy Foundation, Mariam is motivated by a desire to support older persons who often face isolation, neglect, and limited access to care. While continuing to expand her knowledge in dementia care, she brings genuine compassion, caregiving experience, and a heartfelt commitment to promoting dignity, companionship, and improved quality of life for older adults.
